“The hair is the richest ornament of women” — Martin Luther King Jr.

I have dreamt of getting butterfly locs for over a year and I finally got it done ! I'm basically hot girl summer ready with nowhere to go. lol

Do you want to know why this should be your next hair-do? here are 3 reasons why -

1. This is a low maintenance hair style: Butterfly locs are basically regular locs with a distressed look. It gives me boho vibes, so if you're into that sort of style then you'll love it. All you need to do is ensure your scalp looks clean and your edges are snatched by using edge control.

2. Good for both Natural or Relaxed hair: You can carry your locs for 2 - 3 months or even longer depending on how well you are able to maintain the look. The older it looks, even better.

My stylist braided my hair in strands first before attaching the free tress water waves which she twisted unto each braid strand and used her hands to create the distressed look (lol that's the best way I can describe the process).

3. Good for both long and short length hair: If Your hair length is long, you'll probably just need to used more packs of the free tress water waves and if your hair is shorter, then you'll use about 7 - 8 packs which is what I used (My hair is mid length). It may be a great way to retain length if you are trying to grow out your hair.

Check out Adanna Madueke On Youtube to see how she did hers. Her video is quite detailed.
